Jay D.
Director of Infrastructure

Jay has been with DesTech since 2006 and has over 20 years of extensive experience in the IT industry. He is DesTech’s Director of Infrastructure, overseeing a team of architects, developers, database administrators, engineers, and other IT staff. Jay is responsible for all aspects of DesTech’s IT operations including planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring IT infrastructure operations and client support services.
Jay is an Oracle Certified Database & Engineered System Professional and has numerous Oracle Implementation Specialist Certifications including Oracle Database Appliance, Exadata, DBA, and Linux. He is a certified Oracle Instructor who has received multiple Instructor Quality Awards including North American Instructor of the Year and the Oracle Special Merit Award.
In addition, Jay advises a variety of DesTech’s clients in Database Administration and Systems Administration and Integration (Architecture, Implementation, Support) as well as teaching the Official Oracle DBA Curriculum and supporting DesTech’s technology sales team.
Karen M.
Senior Consultant

Karen is one of DesTech’s most senior instructors, providing high level education since 2007. Karen has outstanding knowledge of PeopleSoft Financial and Human Capital Management’s configuration tables and business processes, extensive knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Financial Suite’s configuration tables and business processes and has been recognized by Oracle’s Quality Club for outstanding student evaluations.
Within these programs Karen has helped students to tackle topics such as Absence Management, Time and Labor, Benefits Administration, General Ledger, nVision, PeopleTools I and II, Peoplesoft Query Reporting, Hyperion Planning, Essbase Bootcamp and much more. She is also experienced in creating customized course solutions for private events and classes in order to ensure comprehensive and high value education for DesTech’s clients.

Payam has played a core role in DesTech’s success since 2000. He is a Certified Oracle Instructor with many Oracle Instructor Quality Awards to his credit, including the renowned North American Instructor of the Year.
With expertise in developing, implementing, and delivering critical systems using Oracle Database and Fusion Middleware stacks, Payam routinely delivers in-depth training sessions covering many Oracle core technologies, languages, tools, and techniques. Advanced WebLogic, Data Warehousing, Oracle Data Integrator, OBIEE, BI Publisher, Java SE and EE Programming, SQL Tuning, Advanced PL/SQL, APEX, and Project Management are among the topics covered in his classes.
Marcos C.
Senior Oracle Solutions Architect

Marcos is a Technical Lead on our Managed Services team, providing support for a number of clients with a focus on those with Oracle Engineered Systems. He supports a variety of DesTech’s clients including GTA municipalities, multiple Ontario Government Ministries, Satellite communications and more.
Working with DesTech since 2001, Marcos is a seasoned instructor teaching IT education at DesTech including the Official Oracle DBA, Weblogic, GoldenGate and Engineered Systems curricula. In addition, Marcos has numerous Oracle Implementation Specialist Certifications including Oracle Database Appliance, Exadata, DBA, and Linux. He is a certified Oracle Instructor and recipient of awards including North American Instructor of the Year and the Oracle Special Merit Award
David S.
Senior Database Administrator

David has been with DesTech since 2006 and has over 20 years of IT experience in both Microsoft and Oracle technologies. David is an Oracle Certified Professional and Certified Oracle Business Intelligence Implementation Specialist with Database Administration, Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, and Programming Specializations. David has extensive knowledge of Oracle database technology in the Database Administration, Analysis and Development areas along with a knack for providing DBA support in SQL Server environments.
David is certified to teach Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect and Certified Ethical Hacking.
